Perhaps if more people realized that we are not the center of the universe and that we reside on just a mote of dust in this vast universe with a thin layering of life, we might like each other more. Or even me for that matter.
Huge props to Mr. Sagan, and to you V for posting this. I swear Skinny Puppy were very much inspired by something like this on their last concert tour--the show began very much like this, but even more intense. I think there is a vast differene between living a self-examined life and a selfish life. As humans we are prone to try and figure out who we are and where we belong in the world and in our lifetime. It's when we start to take down others in the process that we start going about things in a terribly skewed manner.
I like this a lot, thanks for posting it. Especially the very last line mentioned in the video. It seems like a large majority of tv culture soaks in what "authority" says without so much as a blink. So sad. There is a lot to be learned, me, and everyone. A lot of humbling needs to start.

Right Steve. So true!
I missed out on the last SP tour. I hope I can catch them this year when they start touring.

Thanks Ester for dropping by and the nice comment. People need to be more skeptical and question things.
